  The first release on Phase Velocity is a split tape by legendary American noise-rock band Halaka and English psychedelic singer-songwriter Simon Waldram.
  
  It's 40 minutes each side (Halaka's side also features a great hidden track) with hand-made covers and liner notes by Halaka's Kingo Sleemer. Limited to 30 copies!
  
  Note: this release is cassette only. It's not available for download. However, on Soundcloud there is "Revolt!" from Simon's side and an excerpt of "Terminal Inside" from Halaka's side.

  About the artists:
  
  Halaka have existed since 1980, having previously (and quite briefly) been the punk band Motherload. Their behemoth of a back catalog includes many album based in noise-rock, avant and improvised/experimental rock, but they can also show a surprisingly melodic and gentle side. They can be confounding, brilliant and brilliantly confounding. Why they are not recognized as one of the greatest experimental rock bands of all time is a complete mystery.

  Simon Waldram is a singer-songwriter from Nottinghamshire, England. He has released a number of albums on various labels which take in psych-folk, indie rock and pop, experimental and ambient music and more. He is writing this bio in the third person and feeling quite embarrassed about doing so.
